Intersecting a Hyperlinked Object

In primary difference between a traditional document and a web page is that a web page supports hyperlinking. 3D models designed for use with CM Surveyor can serve as 3D web pages, that is, these 3D models can incorporate hyperlinks. Any object in the 3D scene can serve as a hyperlink. When the red arrow depicting your location in the scene is moved to intersect a hyperlinked object, a small message window containing the address, or "URL", of the hyperlink appears. This URL may be a traditional 2D web page or another 3D page.

In the "Freedom Ship" City At Sea model shown above, several deckhouses have been designated as hyperlinks. Entering one of these deckhouses causes the message window to appear displaying the hyperlink destination, in this case, a page from the offical Freedom Ship web site.
