CM Surveyor offers a range of lighting options to increase the realism of the scene. Sun lighting is enabled using the 'Fidelity' menu. Initially, the sun is at 90 degrees, corresponding to noon at the equator. The 'Environ' menu can be used to specify the latitude and time of day of the scene, which moves the position of the sun accordingly. The 'Environ' menu can also be used to change the intensity of direct and ambient sunlight, and the orientation of the scene relative to North. Thus, CM Surveyor is very useful for site planning of new buildings.
